  • The NJHOF has 2 ex officio members and 15 appointed members. The ex officio members are (1) the Chairman of the NJ Sports & Exposition Authority (NJSEA), and (2) the President and CEO of the NJSEA. Of the 15 appointed members, 11 are appointed by the Governor, 2 are appointed by the Governor upon recommendation of the NJ Press Association, 1 by the President of the New Jersey State Senate, and 1 by the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly. Members of the Commission are required to represent a diversity of areas consistent with the goals of the NJHOF, including, but not limited, representatives of the visual and performing arts, music, literature, science, education, sports, entertainment, business, government, military and philanthropy. N.J.S.A. 5:10-6.6.

  • The NJHOF Foundation was created by the NJHOF Board of Commissioners in 2010. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 5:10-6.8, the Foundation is responsible for planning, promoting, and coordinating fund-raising activities, programs and events, and for determining how contributions should be allocated for (1) the support of the NJHOF project(s), programs and events; (2) the support of charitable organizations that directly benefit children in need in New Jersey and throughout the world; and (3) administrative and other expenses.
